Winter at Treehouse Point: A Whimsical forest Getaway

They say long winter nights are best spent somewhere cozy. We happen to think that a treehouse is the coziest place of all…

Located in the temperate Snoqualmie Valley rainforest in Washington State, Treehouse Point rarely dips below freezing. Instead, winter here is filled with lush greenery and moody rainstorms—the perfect atmosphere for staying snug in bed as the forest canopies whirl to life around you.

They say long winter nights are best spent somewhere cozy. We happen to think that a treehouse is the coziest place of all…

Enter the whimsical world of Treehouse Point during the most enchanting time of year.

And the best part? You don’t even have to leave your treehouse.

Waking Up in the Trees

Stay tucked inside and let breakfast come to you.

When you add Breakfast in Bed to your booking, our staff will hand-deliver a homemade breakfast platter right to your treehouse door, so you can linger under the covers well into the day.

Simply select Breakfast in Bed at checkout, or give us a quick call and we’ll happily add it to your reservation.

Take this time to curl up with a good book, practice some sewing (like Danielle did in episode five of her Sewcation series at the Trillium treehouse), or play board games with your favorite person. A wide variety of board games, books, and cards can be found near the fireplace in the Lodge.

Explore the Forest

When it’s time to finally peel yourself away from your plush treehouse bed, wrap up in one of our cozy Treehouse Point university-style crewnecks and grab a warm mug of coffee from the Chemex in your accommodation.

Now caffeinated, stylish, and toasty, you’re ready to explore the grounds at Treehouse Point!

As you meander down Treehouse Point’s woodland paths, you’ll find ancient looking ferns and large, thick-trunked trees – a testament to the resilience of this old growth forest. Due to the prominence of evergreen trees in the Pacific Northwest, the treehouse forest remains lush all year round.

Activities Nearby

After a morning of exploring the property, you may find yourself eager to see what else the Snoqualmie Valley has to offer. Some of our favorite winter activities nearby include tubing at Snoqualmie Pass, visiting the iconic Snoqualmie Falls, or heading to Seattle for an Underground Tour.

For a slower afternoon, stop by our favorite coffee shop in Fall City: Aroma Coffee Co. Their syrups are handmade by our talented head chef at Treehouse Kitchen, Manny Rodriguez—also known as The Bear of Fall City. His ability to pair espresso with inventive, unexpected flavors is unmatched. Aroma rotates syrups seasonally, so don’t be afraid to ask the staff about their favorite seasonal menu items!

While at Aroma, check out Pete’s Treefort, made by Nelson Treehouse and Supply!

When evening arrives, you’ll find no shortage of wonderful places to dine just moments away. We love Saints and Scholars (a cozy local Irish pub), Black Duck Cask and Bottle (European-inspired and intimate), or The Matador in Redmond for unforgettable Mexican cuisine.

And of course, our staff is always happy to share their favorite local recommendations—just ask.

Cozy evenings in

After a full day of adventure, warm up in our bathhouse, complete with two private showers, plush towels, soaps and lotions, and most importantly, heated flooring.

Use our complimentary s’mores kit in the Lodge to roast marshmallows inside at the fireplace, or gather around the outdoor firepit and swap stories with other guests under the trees!

Romantic Getaway

Make February extra special with a Valentines Day getaway! Nothing says romance like a weekend spent together in the trees. Turn your phone on Do Not Disturb and enjoy some quality time with your partner in the most unique bed and breakfast in Washington State!

Ready to spice things up? We offer a new Sparkles and Strawberries Package, complete with six house-made chocolate-covered strawberries, each with unique designs and toppings, a bottle of chilled premium champagne, and rose petals on the bed to set the mood.

Welcome to Treehouse Point: Washington’s Dreamy Forest Escape

Tucked away in the lush, rolling forests of the Snoqualmie Valley is a cozy bed and breakfast unlike any other. Instead of ordinary rooms, guests are invited to stay in handcrafted treehouses, each situated in a forest canopy of their own.

Welcome to Treehouse Point.

How It All Began

When the urge to retreat to the wilderness calls, Treehouse Point answers, and has answered for the past twenty years!

It all began with a single treehouse, arguably our most iconic — Temple of the Blue Moon, completed in 2006. Once Temple of the Blue Moon was finished, guests were invited to stay in the trees, marking the start of a truly unique experience.

Over the next two decades, the team from Nelson Treehouse and Supply has brought to life ten enchanting stays, the the most recent being the LoveBomb, completed in 2024.

Treehouse Point is the culmination of Pete Nelson’s love for the forest and treehouse building, and Judy Nelson’s passion for entertaining. Full of whimsy, love, and woodland magic, the Nelsons invite you into the trees for a stay unlike any other.

What to Expect

After passing through the gate and parking in our intimate front gravel lot, the first structure you’ll see is a large, moss green building called the Lodge.

This is where you’ll be greeted by one of our helpful staff members and check in for your stay. Check-in is at 4pm and check out is at 11am.

Additionally, though any age can attend our guided property tours, overnight stays are exclusively for those age 16 and above to maintain a mature atmosphere.

The Lodge

The Lodge is where your breakfast will be served every morning, made by our talented chefs at Treehouse Kitchen. Pick from the shelves of books and board games by the fireplace as you grab a cup of our freshly brewed Pete’s Treefort Coffee Club, made in collaboration with our favorite local coffee shop, Aroma Coffee.

A winding staircase at the back leads to the second floor of the building, where you’ll find our cozy Cedar Suite, a spacious room with a king-size bed, a private bath, and a balcony with sweeping forest views.

The Treehouses

Once you’ve checked in, step outside and let the magic of the treehouse forest wash over you. Guests often say that they feel they’ve stepped into another world when they enter the back property, where seven thoughtfully crafted treehouses and two additional, one-of-a-kind accommodations await.

While finding your treehouse, you may practice the art of shinrin-yoku, or “forest bathing.” This mindfulness exercise encourages people to immerse themselves in the sights, sounds, and scents of the forest. This is a simple way to relax and fully soak in your surroundings.

While wandering the intertwining paths, notice our seven unique treehouses: Temple of the Blue Moon, Trillium, Burl, Nest, Upper Pond, Bonbibi, and Ananda. Each treehouse is equipped with a Chemex coffee station, plush robes, soft beds, and special details unique to each stay.

Learn more about each treehouse here.

Additional Forest Accommodations

You’ve met the stunning Cedar Suite. Now, it’s time to meet our two other whimsical accommodations. Though these getaways are not treehouses, they are unique, carefully crafted forest stays full of personality.

The first is Hideaway, a rustic structure tucked at the edge of our property for maximum privacy. Listen to the the Raging River flow over rocks as you sip your morning coffee on the sunchairs under Hideaway’s translucent porch roof.

The second accommodation is LoveBomb, a 60’s inspired love shack made from an upcycled army truck. Notice the four large wheels, landing deck, and bright red driver’s cabin.

Learn more about our additional accommodations here.

Wander, Explore, Unwind

The Snoqualmie Valley hosts a wide variety of excursions, from beautiful hiking trails to cozy open mic nights! Whether your idea of the perfect day includes exploring the valley or simply lingering in the trees a little longer, there’s bound to be something here for you. We encourage you to ask our team for their recommendations of nearby activities and restaurants.

Treehouse Point has a two-night minimum policy due to guest feedback that “one night is not enough!” This policy gives guests the chance to explore nearby towns, slow down, and discover new favorite hidden gems. There are some exceptions to the two-night rule, including Sunday nights and select promotions.

While here, indulge in our complimentary s’mores kits and use either our outdoor fire pit or the fireplace in the Lodge to roast marshmallows and chat.

Want to stay cozy in your treehouse? Order our CharcuterTREE board, a curated selection of seasonal fruit, artisan cheese, local meats and crackers, ahead of time to bring to your bed!

Romantic Getaways

There’s nothing more romantic than an intimate escape into the wilderness. The Pacific Northwest is known for its dark, romantic atmosphere: misty mornings, lingering fog, and rain-soaked afternoons — Truly, an iconic lover’s retreat.

In fact, Treehouse Point was voted the Best NW Romantic Getaway in 2025 by readers of 425 Magazine!

To make your stay even more special, we offer amenities like our Romance in the Trees Package, which includes rose petals, prosecco or wine for two, artisan truffles, and a morning mimosa.

Our newest package is the Sparkles and Strawberries Package, complete with six house-made chocolate-covered strawberries, bottle of chilled premium champagne, and rose petals on the bed to set the mood.

Dreamy Wedding Destination

Set deep within the forest, Treehouse Point offers a sense of privacy and presence that feels rare and intentional. Due to the property’s concealment, the uniqueness of the treehouses, and the natural beauty of the surroundings, Treehouse Point is often described as a dream wedding destination. We host weddings, elopements, micro-weddings, and even retreats.

Ceremonies can take place outdoors on the green, surrounded by forest, or inside our cedar-lined Pond Room. On rainy days, couples often embrace the weather, whether that means moving indoors or celebrating outside beneath a canopy of umbrellas.

The Nest at Treehouse Point is an ultra-cozy retreat. Tucked in soaring cedar and spruce trees, the Nest holds a lavish queen-sized bed, two reading chairs, and ample bird-themed artwork. The interior space is extended by the deck, which overlooks the resort’s tranquil ponds.

The origins

Pete and the crew built the Nest in 2010. It remains the only bird-themed treehouse at the resort—Pete and Judy couldn’t resist creating one homage to nests! Guests can soak in views of the Treehouse Point’s pond from the wide wall of windows and spacious deck.

What you’ll find Inside

The interior is cozily compact, with enough space for a queen-sized bed, reading nook, and coffee corner. Imagine perching cozily on one of the two leather chairs, looking out the large windows to the pond below, or nibbling on our CharcuterTREE package in bed.

The Great outdoors

Outside on the deck, guests can gaze at the Upper Pond treehouse. The Upper Pond Treehouse is Nest’s closest neighbor. They can also spot the Pond Room, a multipurpose space that hosts special events. The forest at Treehouse Point is incredibly lush—sword ferns cover the ground and soft moss swathes branches.

An outhouse complete with a flush toilet lies outside the front door. Just a short walk from Nest are the bed and breakfast’s spa-like bathhouses, complete with private showers, heated floors, and even an outdoor shower for the warmer season!

Stay With Us!

Nest is the perfect romantic escape for two lovebirds, or a cozy solo retreat tucked away in the trees.

The Upper Pond treehouse at Treehouse Point looks like it walked out from the pages of a fairytale! Inside the treehouse, a queen-sized bed and two twin loft beds make for a spacious and comfortable retreat. Guests have plenty of space to stretch out, relax, and enjoy the treehouse life.

The treehouse roosts 11 feet off the ground in a grove of magnificent cedars. Its curved roofline and natural branch railings add rustic charm.

Views of the Pond Room

Upper Pond is located above the resort’s central pond, nestled between the Pond Room and the Nest treehouse. The Pond Room is a multipurpose space for special events. Large windows and the deck offer sweeping views of Treehouse Point’s tranquil ponds.

Nelson Treehouse carpenter Rolf crafted this elegant built-in bench on the Upper Pond deck. He was inspired by designs he saw on a recent trip to Japan.

Details like these railing toppers add so much character. From the Upper Pond deck, you can spot the quaint Nest treehouse.
