Venue Manager (2 people)

**Weekends required** 25 – 30 hours per week

The following are tasks that the Venue Manager is responsible for:

  • Hosting weddings & elopements

  • Assist with couple communications

  • Hosting rehearsals

  • Post Wedding Check outs

  • Miscellaneous tasks

Couple communications/planning process:

  • Check emails daily

  • Call couples when needed

  • Work with catering lead

  • Host planning visits

  • Send out 8-week reminders

  • Host rehearsals

  • Final planning call week prior

Hosting Weddings:

**Monitor Phone and email for day of couple/planner communications**

  • Ensure all spaces are wedding ready (Lower Lawn, Pond Room & Deck, and Tent Deck)

  • Manage HK, timelines met, provide space set ups, and prep day of HK notes

  • Greet couple upon arrival, escort to spaces (wedding assistant will help with this)

  • Greet vendors as they arrive. Assist as needed throughout the evening

  • Manage the parking lot (Wedding Assistant will assist with this as well)

  • Work with coordinator to ensure all THP polices are followed

  • Pass out guest check-in information and show guests to their overnight accommodations (wedding assistant will assist with this as well)

  • Monitor guest behavior throughout the evening via cameras

  • Random walkthroughs throughout the evening

  • Ensure that the bar and DJ shut down by 10pm

  • Ensure all non-overnight guests depart by 11pm

  • Close down the Pond Room

  • Explain the fire pit rules

  • Turn off tent deck lights and heaters (when applicable)

  • Lock up lodge

Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Bundle thank you cards

  • Wrap champagne flutes

  • Prep check in cards for weddings

Housekeeping

The primary role of the housekeeper is to prepare the property for our guests, meeting or exceeding Treehouse Point’s standard of cleanliness. The housekeeping team is responsible for cleaning the treehouses, rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and grounds. This position is responsible for stripping/making beds, disposing of guest trash and soiled items, dusting surfaces and sanitizing, and notifying the Manager on duty of any maintenance issues or upgrades. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the entire property is prepared for guests, including, but not limited to, all paths, lower lawn, pond room and surrounding area, parking lot, entrance to property, fire pit and surrounding area, and the trail to the river.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds up ladders and stairs

  • Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time.

  • Extremely detail oriented and thorough in their work

  • Takes pride and ownership in a job well-done

  • Capable of working in inclement weather and enjoys being outdoors

  • Completes tasks efficiently and in a timely manner

  • Able to follow instructions and procedures

  • Enjoys working both independently and as a team

  • Has a positive attitude and a friendly, hospitality-focused demeanor

  • Maintains a neat and professional personal appearance

  • Exhibits good communication and problem solving skills

  • Has a reliable means of transportation, including on weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a consistent guest experience. Items deliberately placed in the same location every time.

  • Clean and organize rooms in a quick and effective manner ensuring they are available for guest check in.

  • Accountable for guest satisfaction by providing quality room cleanliness.

  • Replace room amenities and linens, remove trash, dust, vacuum floors, mop floors, and clean bathrooms.

  • Complete the cleaning of the guest dishes, water bottles (restocked in guest fridge), ice buckets, ice trays, stemware, etc.

  • Accountable for the overall cleanliness of the lodge, including cobwebs, floors, all trashes/recycle/compost, bathroom, stairs to Cedar, laundry area (behind curtain too), and fireplace.

  • Housekeepers must follow company policies and report maintenance problems, safety hazards, and lost items.

  • Ensures a clean and safe work environment.

  • Promotes collaboration and positive, professional work environment.

  • Collaborate and communicate with all other departments.

  • Manage multiple priorities and work in an environment with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.

  • Follow company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Uphold the standards that the Housekeeping Supervisor and General Manager set.
