Wedding Venue Open House Gallery | Guide to Treehouse Point Weddings
Ever wonder what it’s like to get married at Treehouse Point? On April 29th, we held our first-ever Wedding Venue Open House, where guests were invited to wander through our property, step inside treehouses, and see the Treehouse Point adorned in florals to imagine their special day. Today, we’re taking you behind the scenes of the event and sharing what a wedding weekend at Treehouse Point can truly feel like.
We held our first-ever Wedding Venue Open House at Treehouse Point, and it was a smashing success! On April 29th, guests were invited to wander through our property, step inside treehouses, and see the Treehouse Point adorned in florals to imagine their special day.
To make the experience even more special, our preferred vendors created booths showcasing their work, while our team transformed some of Treehouse Point's most beloved wedding spaces into celebration-ready scenes.
Throughout the day, couples shared that seeing the venue decorated in person was even more magical than photos could ever capture. We’re thrilled at the prospect of putting on another Open House in 2027 to show more people the magic of weddings at Treehouse Point!
Who We Are
For those who are new here, Treehouse Point is a bed and breakfast tucked into the lush forests of the Snoqualmie Valley. Couples from around the world gather here to exchange vows among the trees and celebrate with their closest family and friends in a setting that feels like fantasy.
When we’re not hosting weddings, elopements, and retreats, we’re welcoming guests to stay a night (or two, or three) in the trees. Guests can book their treehouse stay here.
Throughout this blog, we’ll take you on a behind the scenes journey through the Open House experience, following the same path that guests took as they explored the property. Along the way, we’ll share some details about weddings at Treehouse Point and what they can look like, including what our all inclusive packages look like.
If you’re dreaming of an intimate forest wedding surrounded by treehouses, greenery, and a rushing river… keep reading.
Shuttle Service to Treehouse Point
The journey begins not at Treehouse Point, but at the Preston Park and Ride, less than 5 minutes away. Due to the intimate nature of our venue, the parking lot has a limited capacity for vehicles. Often, couples will hire an ongoing shuttle service for their wedding guests. This fee is included in 2027 wedding packages (excluding micro-wedding and elopement packages).
After arriving via shuttle from the Preston Park and Ride, guests were greeted with a map of the property, a champagne flute, and goodie bags.
Touring the Treehouses
Couples were invited to explore each treehouse and imagine how their friends and family might enjoy a wedding weekend at Treehouse Point. Weddings at Treehouse Point are intimate, usually between 20 and 80 people - and lodging can accommodate up to 22 people total.
Learn more about our wedding packages here.

The Pond Room:
After exploring the forest, guests stepped into the Pond Room, where cocktail hour and dancing is held for weddings. Attendees were greeted by a beautifully styled dinner table where they could envision their feast taking place.
Party music from our preferred DJ Magnolia Rhapsody played through the speakers, keeping the energy elevated and in good spirits. Some elopement and small wedding couples opt to have their wedding ceremony take place in the Pond Room.
More information about Treehouse Point elopements here.
Delicious catering from Treehouse Kitchen
Bites from Treehouse Kitchen, our preferred vendor for wedding catering, were served as guests mingled. Treehouse Kitchen was founded by members of the Treehouse Point and Nelson Treehouse family, and was created to bring elevated food, rooted in community to guests and wedding celebrations alike.
Throughout the Open House, guests also had the opportunity to learn more about our Inclusive Wedding Packages and how they simplify the wedding planning experience. Treehouse Kitchen offers a curated dining experience, with menu options designed to complement a celebration in the trees. The package includes one entrée, two sides, one salad, and up to three small bite selections.
Beyond catering, we work with our trusted partner One Boss Hospitality to make your inclusive wedding as stress-free as possible. No more worrying about timelines and setup. From florals and rentals to bartending, shuttles, coordination, and service staff, many of the details are thoughtfully handled for you, creating a smoother and more relaxing wedding experience.
Inquire about our inclusive wedding packages here.
Under the Tent Deck
Further along the path, guests arrived at the Tent Deck, one of our most popular dinner locations. The Petal & The Stem transformed the space with lush tropical greenery and a styled tablescape, helping couples envision their dreamy dinner surrounded by friends, family, and nature.
The Lower Lawn
The final stop was the Lower Lawn, where couples exchange vows. Styled for a ceremony, the space allowed guests to imagine walking down the aisle, saying "I do," and beginning their next chapter together in the heart of the forest. We also had our interactive experience vendors on the lower lawn, including a wedding painter and flavored cotton candy cart!
Our Preferred Vendors
We were thrilled to have several of our preferred vendors join us for the Open House and showcase their work. These talented professionals help bring Treehouse Point weddings to life.

20 Years in the Trees: The Journey of Treehouse Point
For two decades, our bed and breakfast has welcomed guests from all over the world to stay in the trees. What began in 2006 as a single treehouse offering an intimate forest getaway has grown into seven whimsical treehouses and three additional accommodations. Join us as we look back on how this cozy escape came to be, and the legacy Pete and Judy Nelson created along the way.
Wow! We can’t believe it. It’s already been 20 years since the humble beginnings of Treehouse Point, when our bed and breakfast was just a single treehouse welcoming guests into the forest.
Our team and venue has grown so much since then. We’ve added a total of seven unique treehouses and three additional accommodations, our final one being LoveBomb in 2024, so people can experience the Pacific Northwest in a one-of-a-kind way.
Today, we’re reflecting on the journey that brought us here, and the heart behind what makes this place so special.

How Treehouse Point Came to be
In April of 2006, Pete Nelson purchased some property tucked between the Raging River and the Preston-Fall City Road. Unassuming and full of thick, healthy trees and foliage, Pete knew this land was the perfect spot for the treehouse retreat that he and his wife, Judy, had been dreaming of building.
Photos by Claymore MacTarnaghan
Of course, the path wasn’t without its challenges. At the time, treehouses were far less common in commercial spaces than they are today. With so many unknowns, Pete and Judy had to get creative, experimenting with innovative building techniques like tree pulling, as shown below.
Tree pulling is a non-invasive method to measure the strength of our trees to ensure guest safety.
The Creation of Treehouses
Pete Nelson and his team specialize in bringing childhood dreams to life. For many people, the idea of living in treehouses and wandering through the woods gets left behind with childhood. Not because the desire disappears, but because it no longer feels possible. Since 2006, Treehouse Point has invited adults to dream again.
The first invitation was in the form of Temple of the Blue Moon.
You may notice the grand columns along the entry way and horizontal logs across the top of the structure. These enchanting features were not added to Temple of the Blue Moon on a whim. The treehouse was intentionally designed as a woodland variation of the Greek Parthenon— one of the most iconic architectural structures in the world and a great inspiration for Pete!

Temple of the Blue Moon was completed in 2006 and was the first treehouse guests could stay in when Treehouse Point opened. At the time, the bridge was narrower than it is today and dipped down in the middle, resembling a hanging bridge.
In 2019, Temple of the Blue Moon was renovated into the magical treetop escape you see today.

“We stayed in Temple of the Blue Moon which was perfect. Our bed was surrounded by windows and there were skylights up above so you could really see and feel being in the tree. ”
Over the years, more treehouses joined the forest. Burl, our romantic two-story retreat, was completed in 2013.
Originally, it featured a crow’s nest designed for guests to climb and take in sweeping views of the surrounding woods. Due to safety considerations, the ladder was later removed, but the spirit of adventure remains woven into its design.
Does Burl look familiar? You may have spotted it on Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters with Pete Nelson.
Breakfasts at Treehouse Point
Judy’s love of cooking has always been a cornerstone of the experience here. In the early days, Judy would be the one in the kitchen making guests their delicious breakfast. Though she’s now focusing on other projects, her legacy lives on through recipes like her beloved granola, yogurt with lemon curd, and signature potato hash. Breakfast is served every morning 8:30am-10:00am in the Lodge by our team of talented and kind-hearted chefs!

After you enjoy a hearty breakfast, wander down to our pond and you’ll see our iconic rainbow trout! They’ve grown so much over the past couple years, thanks to guests tossing them pellets from fish food dispenser to the left of the tables.

“I was obsessed with the trout pond and I enjoyed stopping by every morning and throwing out a few bits of the fish food set out for guests to feed them.”

DOes the River Actually Rage?
As you lay your head down to sleep high in the canopy, you may hear the distant roar of rushing water. How can that be when you’re so high up in the trees? The answer lies just beyond the water bank.
At the edge of Treehouse Point flows the Raging River, which acts as a natural boundary for the property and serves as an important waterway supporting endangered Chinook salmon and steelhead recovery.
Photos by Claymore MacTarnaghan.
In the fall and winter, the Raging River lives up to its name as the water moves fast and strong, creating a moodier atmosphere throughout the property. Treehouses like Ananda, Temple of the Blue Moon, Burl, and our accommodation Hideaway all have views of the river during this season.
By late spring and summer, the river calms down. It becomes a quieter place to spend time, whether that’s stacking stone cairns along the shore or sitting by the water with a book.
Photos by Sammy Spence and Tiare Bowman.
“Seeing bald eagles and so much untouched nature was incredible.”
a forest backdrop for Celebrations
What began as a single treehouse has grown into something much more. Today, Treehouse Point is a place for connection and celebration, from quiet escapes to weddings, elopements, and retreats. People travel from all over the world to say “I do” beneath the canopy, drawn by the magic that lives in these trees.

“You are not going to find a more magical place than Treehouse Point! We were married here in May 2025 and I cannot understate how unforgettable it was.”

Tour The Forest and Experience Wonder!
Each month, we offer tours of the property so guests of all ages can step into the forest and discover the story still unfolding here. Explore the history, craftmanship, and unique woodland details with our talented tour guides.
On rare occasion, we offer an exclusive private tour with Treehouse Master Pete Nelson, where an intimate group of guests tour the treehouses, have an intimate Q&A over charcuterie and wine with Pete, then spend two-nights in our most sought-after treehouses.
Be sure to sign up for our newsletter to know when the next one goes live!
Where we are now
And there it is! It’s been two decades since we’ve began welcoming people into the trees. From Temple of the Blue Moon in 2006, to the first ever ADA-accessible commercial treehouse in Washington in 2021, we welcome all people to experience the magic of treehouses.
Notice the long ramp that leads to Ananda’s front door, designed to make the treehouse accessible for guests with mobility needs. We want as many people as possible to experience the trees, which led the crew at Nelson Treehouse and Supply to create this beautiful mobility-friendly treehouse.

“ Treehouses lift the spirits. They inspire dreams. They represent freedom: from adults or adulthood, from duties and responsibilities, from an earthbound perspective. If we can’t fly with the birds, at least we can nest with them.”

Choosing which treehouse to book can be a delightful dilemma. Some guests prefer a cozy, intimate abode—there’s nothing quite like snuggling up with your partner in a treehouse built for two.
Others dream a little bigger. If you’re looking for extra space to stretch out and soak in the forest views, we’ll take you on a journey through our four most popular, and largest, treehouses at Treehouse Point: Temple of the Blue Moon, Trillium, Burl, and Ananda.
1. Temple of the Blue Moon
Temple of the Blue Moon holds a special place in the story of Treehouse Point. Built in 2006 as the very first treehouse on the property and renovated in 2019, it remains one of the most iconic structures in the treehouse forest.
Inspired by the elegance of the Greek Parthenon, Temple of the Blue Moon feels both enchanting and timeless. Wooden columns shape the treehouse, creating the feeling that you’ve stumbled upon a hidden sanctuary tucked deep within the forest.
Does Temple of the Blue Moon look familiar? You may have spotted it on Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters with Pete Nelson.
To reach the treehouse, guests cross a dreamy suspension bridge. It’s one of the most romantic spots on the property and a favorite backdrop for weddings and elopements.
Upon reaching the entrance of Temple of the Blue Moon, you’ll see two doors. One leads to a private, fully plumbed half bath with running water and heated flooring. The other leads to your cozy treehouse getaway.
Inside, you’ll notice two sleek leather chairs, a writing desk, bookcase, handcrafted armoire, and two steps leading up to a tall, custom-built queen-size bed.
Look out the interior windows and you’ll spot the sturdy tree trunk that holds Temple of the Blue Moon, with windows that curve gently around it. In Temple of the Blue Moon, you truly feel like you are one with the forest.
Book your stay in Temple of the Blue Moon here.
2. Trillium
If you’re eager for views, Trillium’s wall of windows looking into the treehouse forest provides a breathtaking panorama of the heart of Treehouse Point.
Nestled beside our peaceful rainbow trout pond, Trillium rises 15 feet high in a majestic cedar, offering a two-story escape among the treetops. A playfully curved staircase wraps around the tree, pausing at a mid-level viewing platform before leading to the front door.
Continue on, and you’ll find a cozy living space with two plush leather chairs, perfect for snuggling up with a good book, a coffee table, and two-story high curtains that you can close for privacy.
A ship’s ladder leads up to the loft, where a queen-sized bed awaits alongside a fully plumbed half bathroom with running water.
With expansive windows giving you unparalleled forest views, you genuinely feel like you're part of the wilderness when staying in Trillium. Book your stay in Trillium here.
3. Burl
Often called our honeymoon suite, the Burl is a favorite for couples seeking romance and privacy.
Perched above a dramatic drop with views of the Raging River, it offers seclusion, charm, and all the comforts for a dreamy getaway. Built by the Nelson Treehouse team in 2013, the Burl continues to be a top choice for newlyweds and lovebirds alike.
Inside, a cozy living space features two plush leather chairs—perfect for curling up with a cup of tea or coffee from the chemex station.
A ship’s ladder leads to the loft, where a queen-sized bed awaits alongside a fully plumbed half bathroom with running water. Windows surround the loft, making it feel like you’re sleeping in the wild.
Step outside onto the covered back deck to take in sweeping views of the Raging River. Settle into one of the wooden chairs and let the serenity of the forest take over.
Burl is tucked away in the spring and summer foliage for an intimate, private retreat. In the fall and winter, see Burl in full bloom as the deciduous trees shed their leaves, leaving a gorgeous view of the treehouse! Book your stay in Burl here.
4. Ananda
Step inside Ananda, our luxurious treehouse named after the neurotransmitter Anandamide, which evokes a feeling of bliss. With tall, sloping ceilings, panoramic forest views, and a balcony overlooking the Raging River, it’s impossible not to feel at peace.
Inside, warm wood paneling, plush leather chairs, and tasteful animal fur accents create a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Ananda is perfect for slowing down and soaking in the forest serenity.
Spend your evenings sinking into Ananda’s soft king-sized bed. Add our Breakfast in Bed package to your booking and wake up to a slow, cozy morning in the treetops—breakfast delivered right to your door.
Perched twenty-five feet above the forest floor and overlooking a steep drop into the fern-covered forest, Ananda is as breathtaking as it is unique. Despite its height, it’s also Washington State’s first ADA-accessible commercial treehouse. A long, gentle ramp leads to the deck, and the interior amenities are thoughtfully designed for accessibility.
Spend your evenings at Ananda warm by the fireplace or outside listening to the Raging River run through the forest below. Book your stay in Ananda here.
Now you’ve met the “Big Four” treehouses! From the iconic Temple of the Blue Moon to our belvedere Trillium, sweetheart Burl, and opulent Ananda—which one would you stay in first?

February in the treehouse forest is especially whimsical, with rainy evenings spent high in the branches, the soft patter of raindrops on the roof, and cozy blankets to curl up under.
Even without extra amenities, evenings spent high in the branches of our old-growth forest are utterly enchanting. But if you’re dreaming of making your stay feel even more magical, we’ve got you covered.
Here are five thoughtful ways to elevate your romantic getaway in the trees.

1. Book a Stay in our romantic LoveBomb.
While it’s the season of love, there’s only one kind of “LoveBombing” we approve of—and that’s our newest accommodation, the LoveBomb, added to Treehouse Point in 2024. Designed for intimacy and connection, this 60s-inspired retreat is actually an upcycled army truck turned retro love shack, perfect for couples looking to cozy up in style.
Our carpenters at Nelson Treehouse and Supply had a blast bringing the LoveBomb to life, including the artistic shingles—nicknamed swingles for their sweeping, swooping design. Truly, LoveBomb isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a piece of art you can sleep in.
Book the LoveBomb, or one of our other unique accommodations, here!
2. Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
The second option on this list is one of our favorites! Our pastry chef, Caleb, created these decadent chocolate-covered strawberries one afternoon as our team was brainstorming romantic treats, and we’ve been obsessed with them ever since.
Now, these indulgent sweets can be yours. Add our Sparkles and Strawberries Package to your booking at check out to experience an evening with six house-made chocolate-covered strawberries, each with unique designs and toppings, a bottle of chilled premium champagne, and rose petals on the bed to set the mood.
3. Romantic Truffles in the Trees
Another delicious way to elevate your stay is with our Romantic Retreat Package. This sweetheart package sets the scene for an intimate night in the trees with rose petals scattered across the bed, a bottle of prosecco or wine for two, artisan truffles, and a morning mimosa the next day—everything you need for an unforgettable escape in the trees.
If you prefer to skip the spirits, we also offer Noughty in the Trees. This non-alcoholic option includes a chilled bottle of Noughty Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Rosé, paired with a sleeve of five locally made artisan chocolates.
4. Charcuterie in your Treehouse
For those who lean a bit more savory, this one’s a crowd-pleaser. Our handcrafted charcuterie board is artfully arranged with a curated selection of seasonal fruit, artisanal cheese, and local meats and crackers. Vegetarian options are available upon request.
We recommend adding a bottle from our premium wine selection as a simple way to elevate this experience and compliment the flavors of the board.
5. Breakfast in Bed
Once you stay in a treehouse, you’ll never want to leave. This universal sentiment among our guests is exactly why we began offering a Breakfast in Bed Package at Treehouse Point! Stay snuggled in your treehouse as our staff curates a delicious tray made by our in-house chefs, and deliver it to your door.
Prefer to wander down to the Lodge? Breakfast is also served there each morning from 8:30am to 10:00am.
