Things To Do Near Seattle This Autumn

Ah, it’s time to begin embracing the turn of the season as Washington’s iconic green turns to gold.

Autumn in the Pacific Northwest is magical. The air gets cooler, the forest begins to glow with color, and suddenly, a cozy getaway feels like exactly what you need.

Today, we’re tugging on our boots, zipping up our jackets, and exploring some of our favorite things to do at Treehouse Point and throughout the Snoqualmie Valley during your fall getaway.

Visit a Fall City Pumpkin Patch

If you’re feeling festive this autumn, hop on over to the pumpkin patch at Fall City Farms, just an 8-minute drive from our cozy bed and breakfast. Pick your favorite pumpkin, wander through the farm, and soak up a little classic fall fun.

Cuddle a Highland Cow

A brand-new business in Fall City, Washington, Cuddle a Cow invites guests to spend 30 minutes hugging and hanging out with two miniature Highland cows!

It’s a sweet and unique way to spend an autumn afternoon in the Valley.

Visit Snoqualmie Falls

Of course, a trip to the Snoqualmie Valley would not be complete without stopping by the mystical Snoqualmie Falls.

Embrace the Pacific Northwest moodiness as you take in the falls from the top observation deck, especially when autumn brings fog and mist to the Valley. You can also walk or drive down to the bottom landing for another, more intimate view of the falls.

Grab a Seasonal Drink at Aroma Coffee Co.

An autumn day is not complete without a seasonal drink from Aroma Coffee Co. The syrups at Aroma are handmade by the chefs at Treehouse Kitchen, making each seasonal drink extra special.

This fall, cozy up with a Pumpkin Pie Latte, Bourbon Vanilla Latte, Cardamom Spice Latte, Cold Fashioned, or Tella Latte.

October at Aroma Coffee Co. is especially fun because the two-story coffee shop gets decked out in a new theme every year for halloween.

This year? Stepping into Aroma will feel a little like stepping into Central Perk from the TV show Friends. Bring your bestie, your partner, or simply yourself for a fun, Friends-themed coffee date. Both the house and treefort will be decked out in Friends decorations!

Pick Up Dinner at Treehouse Kitchen

Next door to Aroma is Treehouse Kitchen, a cute, treehouse-inspired food market created by Emily and Judy Nelson, along with Treehouse Point’s Head Chef Manny Rodriguez and General Manager Abbey Rodriguez.

Treehouse Kitchen sells heat-at-home family meals, perfect for busy days when you don’t have time to cook. Stop by during your stay for a cozy dinner to bring back to your treehouse, or pick up one of the elevated pastries made by Pastry Chef Caleb Andrew King, who you may recognize from Food Network’s Halloween Baking Championship.

Our fall favorite? The Pumpkin Cream Cheese Dome!

Spend a Fall Day in Seattle

Treehouse Point is just a 30-minute drive from Seattle, making it easy to add a little city adventure to your woodland getaway.

Take a trip into the city to experience a true Seattle autumn. For those looking for a little spooky fun, visit the Georgetown Morgue Haunted House, where you’ll walk through their morgue of horrors, with the option to add on the Dark Maze, a maze you navigate in the pitch black with your group. Open September 25 through November 7 for 26 select nights of fear.

Seattle is also home to the Washington Park Arboretum, a beautiful place to spend a cozy fall afternoon surrounded by changing leaves and colorful foliage.

And, of course, no Seattle trip is complete without a stop at Pike Place Market. Wander through the stalls, grab a cup of coffee, and enjoy the fresh seasonal produce and local treats.

Treehouse Point is especially enchanting in autumn. Leaves turn golden, the Rainbow Trout Pond reflects the changing colors, and the cooler evenings make it the perfect time to slow down and settle into your treehouse.

Spend the afternoon sipping tea on the Pond Room Deck, walking through the forest, or gathering around our communal fire pit with complimentary s’mores as the sun goes down.
